Southwestern College, Math and Science Building, Chula Vista, CA
Randall Lamb provided electrical engineering for a new 103,029 SF Math. Science and Engineering Building that replaced the existing and aging facility to create a sophisticated teaching and learning environment that met both current requirements and future needs. The building consolidates the Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geology, Geography, and Mathematics Departments and includes flexible classrooms, laboratories, offices and
support space. Randall Lamb’s services included programming and preliminary planning through design and construction. Principal and Architect Marlene Imirzian of Imirzian and Associates spearheaded the LEED Certification process, which was recently awarded the highest honor, LEED Platinum. The building was also awarded the San Diego International Chapter American Concrete Institute, Public Award in 2019.
