Mechanical and plumbing engineering for ground-up construction of a 407-unit, 13-story, 289,602 SF affordable housing building at the corner of 14th & Commercial Streets in the East Village neighborhood of downtown San Diego. The project includes one at grade and 1 above grade parking level of 42,794 SF. Working alongside the mechanical contractor, Randall Lamb’s scope included coordinating space requirements for new HVAC equipment and plumbing equipment with the Architect and team and coordinating with the solar vendor to provide 50-70% of the daily hot water demand via solar energy.
